The house is in the small fishing port of Locquemeau near the town of Lannion in western Brittany.
The house sleeps 6 (+ double sofa bed, + fold out single bed, +cot) and is located right on the coast; the nearest beach is just 200yds away.

There is also a wooden cot, travel cot, baby bath, potty, booster seat and stair gates and other baby equipment in the house if required – please ask.
Outside there are fully enclosed spacious gardens to the front and rear and a sunny patio area. There is off road parking for 4+ cars to the front of the house.
Locquemeau is a charming small fishing village with several cafes/ restaurants, bars, village shop, bakery, and fishmonger supplied by the boats from the port. There are sandy & pebble beaches which have fantastic rock pools at low tide.
Towns, markets and history…
Locquemeau is 15 minutes from the market town of Lannion which has beautiful historic buildings in the centre and supermarkets on the outskirts. The market is held every Thursday all year round and is the largest in the region.
Morlaix is a 40 minute drive away and has a striking viaduct and a fine medieval centre and market on Saturdays.
The major city of Brest is an hour away which has ‘Oceanopolis’ aquarium, museums and Ikea and Decathlon in a large shopping development on the outskirts at Guipavas.
Coast and nature….
Locquemeau is close to the Pink Granite Coast which is a beautiful stretch of coast line – there are lovely sandy beaches and rocky coves with amazing boulders. There are also numerous islands that are accessible either by car or via boat trips. The area is also popular with bird watchers; there is a sea bird centre at Grande Ile.
Activities – a brief list….
There are several circular walks and cycle rides locally. You can go sailing or sand yachting at St Efflam – the next bay. Families will enjoy the Cosmopolis development at Pleumeur Bodou. There is a Telecommunications museum, Planetarium, Asterix-inspired rustic theme park and ‘Vivons Perches’ which is a ‘Go Ape’ style high ropes centre for all ages. There are several stables for riding / pony trekking nearby. There are boat trips to the many islands around the coast. There is always the sea canoe in the garage to take out for a paddle.
