Toledo Academy: For Islamic and Arabic Studies 2.72

Toledo Academy for Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, is targeted to spread the culture of speaking in Arabic, and the study of Islamic Sciences and acknowledging the importance of studying them to Muslims, and Non-Muslims of Arab-Speakers, and its Non Speakers.

معهد طليطلية لنشر العلوم الإسلامية واللغة العربية ً، يهدف المعهد الي نشر ثقافة الحديث بالعربية ودراسة العلوم الإسلامية والتوعية بأهمية دراستهما للمسلمين وغير المسلمين للناطقين بالعربية وغير الناطقين بها .

Toledo is a very old city, and its thought to be built from the time of the Greeks, and flourished in the times of the Romans, so they protected it by walls. And they established within it the theatre, and great bridge, and has reached its peak during the Islamic Caliphate (Khilafah) Era when it was outstanding, a mix of arts and knowledge. And it was known during the Middle Ages named as “City of Tolerance”, as it coexisted the Muslims, the Jews, and the Christians. And its name goes back to the Roman Era, where it was called after the name “Toledo”, and which means in Roman “The Guarded City”.

طليطلة مدينة قديمة للغاية، ويغلب أنها بنيت في زمن الإغريق. ازدهرت في عهد الرومان، فحصنوها بالأسوار، وأقاموا فيها المسرح والجسر العظيم. وبلغت طليطلة ذروتها في عصر الخلافة الإسلامية عندما كانت جميلة ، مزيج من الفن والعلم. وكانت تعرف في القرون الوسطى باسم "مدينة التسامح" حيث كان يتعايش فيها المسلمون واليهود والمسيحيون. ويرجع اسم المدينة إلى العهد الروماني، حيث كان يطلق عليها اسم "توليدو" وتعني بالرومانية "المدينة المحصنة.
