WHERE ARE WE?
The property is based in the Sitges Hills, a very quiet, rural urbanization directly on the edge of the beautiful Natural Park of Garraf. It is near to the famous tourist beach destination called Sitges, a small town famed for its liberal nightlife, artistic character, beautiful beaches and architecture. By car, it takes an 8 minute drive from the house to the beach, shops are available in a 5 minute driving distance to the local town of Sant Pere de Ribes, and Barcelona is easily accessible by car (30 minutes), or by train or bus. Although very quiet and rural, the urbanization offers a famous Catalan restaurant and a bar which offer the finest Catalan cuisine and stunning views over vineyards and the sea. The Garraf Natural Park is a popular destination for those who wish to explore the Mediterranean nature. Hikers, mountain bikers, joggers and rock climbers can enjoy breathtaking views. Beautiful vineyards, wineries, medieval Catalan castles and farm houses (masias) and even one of the biggest Spanish Buddhist monasteries are situated in the park of Garraf and within hiking distance. The vineyards named the Penedès produce some of the world´s finest wines and sparkling wines called Cava.

The property
The urbanization is very rural, with no asphalted streets; hence no traffic, and the Natural Park of Garraf and the vineyards are easily reached by walking. The area is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for families or couples who are looking for a relaxing and calm environment and who wish to explore the surrounding Mediterranean countryside and nature as well as the beaches and the Sitges nightlife, but without having to stay in the rather busy and noisy town. A car is required as there is no public transport between the urbanization and the town Sant Pere de Ribes, which is within a 25 minutes walking distance. By car the town is easily reached within 5 minutes, and the beaches of Sitges within only 10 minutes.
The house is an authentic Spanish style house consisting of two independent apartments of which the lower flat is available for holiday rental. The entire property, including the gardens and the pool has been completely renovated very recently. The property is 100% self sustained, which means that the electricity is entirely produced by solar and photovoltaic panels, the water is coming from a pond in the Garraf park, and most of the gardens and vegetable plots are conceived according to the principles of Permaculture.
The flat is fully furnished; the living room has Spanish and German TV as well as English speaking News channels, as well as Internet access. There are two bedrooms offering space for 4 people, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a fully equipped kitchen (it has a hob but no oven and no dish washer).
There’s a direct access from the flat to the gardens. There are 2 chill out gardens, one of which is offering access to the small ecological swimming pool (salt water), a vegetable plot where you can pick our self-grown organic vegetables, and a Barbecue area with a chill out lounge.
Cats live on the property as well, to keep in mind in case of allergies (cats don't enter the flat).
