La Figar de Samartin 1.92

La Figar is a holiday home rental with superb views in rural Asturias in Green Spain. It is close to the Picos de Europa and unspoilt beaches of the Costa Verde. The home is in the hills above Infiesto, a short drive from the Picos de Europa and 30mins from the coast.

There are several excellent beaches dotted along the coastline and the countryside is fantastic for hiking, climbing, birdwatching, canoeing, mountain-biking and other outdoor pursuits.

The two bedroom house has an open-plan dining area/lounge/kitchen on the ground floor as well as a shower room and downstairs toilet. On the first floor there are two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The first bedroom is a double room and the second bedroom contains three single beds. There is a grand open balcony covering the width of the house with amazing views of the mountains.

Facilities include kitchen with all necessary appliances and utensils; log-burning stove with plenty of wood available; car parking in front of the house; washing machine; patio space at the back of the house.

Heating is provided through the log-burning stove and wall-hung electric radiators.

To travel to this area from the UK, the easiest routes are either to fly from Stansted to Asturias airport (just outside Oviedo) with Easyjet and pick up a hire car, or to use the Brittany Ferries ferry from Portsmouth/Plymouth to Santander. To the house, it is 45 minutes drive from the airport and 2 hours drive from Santander.
