How Everything Started:
Freddy moved to his dream island Lanzarote in 1994.
At that time, a lady used to feed cats on the beach. Due to health reasons she had to leave the island. Before leaving, she asked Freddy if he could take care of those cats. This is how Freddy's Cat House started.
In June 2015 a charity was set up in Switzerland according to ZGB Art 60-79. Swiss law doesn't ask for a registry number for a small non profit organization.

Today Freddy looks after 24 feeding stations and about 120 - 140 cats. Day after day he brings them food and drinking water. In each station, feeding bowls need to be cleaned or replaced. Destroyed cat shelters need to be re-built.

Tourists often call Freddy to rescue kittens from garbage bins or to pick up sick or injured cats, he then takes back home and when its time they go a feeding station or maybe somebody adopts them.

Freddy is known for his passion and total dedication to cats, but also his short temper when people get in his way or try to hurt these animals.
If you meet Freddy, he will share with you his passion if you are a cat lover. He will tell you about his work and share happy and sad stories.

Many cats you will find along the beach are trusting and always happy to get some attention, strokes and food. Please do not leave wet food during daytime at the feeding stations. It perishes very quickly in the heat.
