We offer 3 day and 5 day creative cookery classes, which are inspired by the rich landscape of Andalucia, where cuisines from Europe, Africa and the Middle East meet. You will welcomed and looked after by your hosts and cookery teachers James Taylor and Ivan Kral, who will personally look after your every needs and ensure that you have a fantastic time.

We draw on the best of local ingredients, to teach exciting dishes from modern Mediterranean, with an exploration of Moorish roots, though to Asian Fusion in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Courses are taught in small groups of 4- 8 people by James Taylor, chef at Hidden bar Ibiza ( http://www.hidden-bar.com/cuisine/ ) and founder of award-winning Asian Fusion restaurant ‘Chantek’ http://www.chantek.co.uk and Andalucian food expert Ivan Kral. For full course details see ‘Course info’ http://andaluciacookingschool.com/course-info-2/ .

We visit local markets to choose the freshest fish and seasonal vegetables and fruit, and take you foraging in the hills for fresh herbs, to take back to the kitchen. We hold classes on the shady terrace or in the spacious kitchen and dine alfresco on the garden terrace outdoors in the warmest climate in Europe.

Wine and food tasting is a passion of ours and we will serve wines that never make it to a supermarket shelves, using the tastings to explore the ideal pairing of wine and food.
During the course there is plenty of opportunity for degustation of renowned local products such as world renowned olive oils, vinegars, Sheppard’s cheeses, mountain hams and local olives.

We visit a secluded beach to cook lunch on a fire and up into the mountains to BBQ on an old Moorish terrace with stunning views.
The courses and accomodation take place in a farmhouse, located just 40 minutes from Almeria, and a couple of hours drive from Alicante.

The farmhouse, close to pristine beaches, and turquoise seas, and on the edge of the Cabo de Gata National park, is situated in a landscape virtually unchanged since the time of the Moors, with their original terraces and water courses, providing an exotic Garden of Eden with Almond, olive, carob, fig and avocado trees, and an abundance of local herbs growing wild and fruit. The area is a haven for wild life.

The House was reconstructed from an old farmhouse (traditional house in Andalucia). In keeping with the traditional forms of the popular architecture of the area, houses that are cube-shaped with flat terraces, using local materials such as, stone, cane, plaster and beams on the ceilings. All this combined with a modern and minimalist décor gives the House its unique personality

The farmhouse has a large kitchen and living space, which opens, out onto an attractive terrace, garden and pool, making it ideal for small groups to enjoy alfresco cooking and dining. The lovely roof top terrace is perfect for an aperitif and enjoys views of the sea by day and of the dazzling star-strewn sky by night.

There are four self contained, ensuite apartments, each individually designed with its own cooking area. Link to view apartments ( http://ruralmojacarapartmentsforrent.wordpress.com/)
