Naseej by Mardini is the brainchild of a younger generation of the Mardini family. It was started with the sole purpose of bringing something truly novel to the home-fabric marketplace, by infusing a century’s worth of experience with an innovative strategy. Inspired by the distinctive moods channeled by different interiors around the world, founders at Naseej have curated a four-themed fabric collection.

Situated in the heart of Cairo’s Mohandisin district, Naseej is a fresh spinout from Mardini Style, a textile weaving company that dates back to the 1940’s. All fabrics available at Naseej are manufactured locally at its Cairo-based mother company.

The collection has been curated with the aim of introducing new textile textures and unorthodox colour-combinations, while incorporating the best raw materials available.

Putting their inspiration to work, founders at Naseej categorised the unique moods gathered from different interiors around the world into four main themes and designed the very first collection accordingly. The first theme is Paradiso, which is Latin for paradise. This theme consists of bright colours and florals that have been designed to set a heavenly mood in any space. Second is the Ethnic theme, which has been handpicked for the disguised tribesmen wandering in our modern-day society.

Another theme is Monarch, inspired by Parisian-taste; it is intended for the classy ones amongst us who settle for nothing less than utter royalty. Last but not least is the Basic theme, consisting mostly of plain fabrics with a variety of new textures and colours, perfect for the minimalists going for a Corbusier-inspired interior.
