Kawalees’ (an Arabic word meaning what goes on behind the scenes) is a theatrical production center for children 4-18 years old offering a back stage experience of the various theatrical aspects that go into a theatre production. Students view a performance by our team, written and directed by our very own young Egyptian local talents. Students are then asked to choose from various scripts and put on their own show where they’ll indulge themselves with facilities and materials provided by Kawalees; Material include but not limited to, professional make-up and costumes to help the students not just dress up into their characters, but become the characters; facilities include a cosy theatre, a high-quality recording studio and a glamorous photo shoot apparatus. Students will be encouraged to explore teen issues portrayed as dilemmas or day-to-day mishaps through drama and of course, a touch of humour.
