The audit committee abides by a set of policies that represent CPC’s Audit Committee Charter, one which the committee reviews and assesses annually. The audit committee is empowered with the authority to conduct or authorize investigations into any matters within its scope of responsibilities. These responsibilities entail reviewing significant accounting and reporting issues and examine their impact on the financial statements, overseeing the internal and external audit processes - ensuring that efforts are coordinated and audit resources are utilized effectively - verifying company’s compliance with laws and regulations, as well as other reporting responsibilities.

IF CHICKENS ALL LOOK THE SAME HOW CAN YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE? It's all about the genes, and because good genes are passed down...the parents are well raised!

With a 50% market share, we are the sole agent for one-day-old grandparent chicks from Hubbard, Arbor Acers and Flex – the worldʼs leading grandparent breeders. In fact, CPC was the first company in Egypt to introduce the grand parenting concept. Grandparent operations are a sophisticated science requiring strict quality control standards and special technical skills. Hygiene is a top priority, with daily quality checks on chicken feed ingredients, in addition to constant monitoring of the birds for salmonella, microbes and bacteria – all as ways of insuring that the flock is up to international standards.
CPC is a major producer in the production of one-day-old broiler chicks. The parent operation involves raising parent stock for the production of hatching eggs, which, in return, produces one-day-old broiler chicks, for sale to the market or rearing within our own broiler operation. Parent chicks are reared for about 24 weeks, and undergo two careful selection and inspection processes. Every aspect of the operation is very closely monitored to ensure that everything we produce represents the highest quality in the market.

CPC's hatchery operation complements our farms production. The one-day-old parent chicks are vaccinated at birth and delivered with certificates from the Ministry of Agriculture. They represent the next generation of healthy chickens produced in the market. We are also involved in hatchery production of one-day-old broilers, as well as broiler raising, with our output going to both the slaughterhouse and the market.

NUTRITION MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE
The saying – you are what you eat – definitely applies to chickens. That's why we place so much emphasis on nutrition. We produce our own feed via a feed formulation program so that the birds get all the nutritional requirements they need. Our compound chicken feed is a healthy mix of
yellow corn, soya meal and premix concentrates, entirely free of animal ingredients. We use different types of feed depending on the various stages of a bird's development. We only use the latest technology in the grinding, mixing, pelleting and packaging of the feed. The process is fully automated, yielding higher feed homogeneity and superior composition.
