AUC History Department 3.45

Established in 1998, AUC's Department of History offers courses in the history of Europe (medieval and modern), the United States (modern) and the Middle East (modern). Since 2003, the department has also been home to AUC's professors of comparative religion.

The history department at AUC serves to explore past events and link the way they have affected the present. In this department, history is not memorized, history is explored and experienced. It is an interdisciplinary major linked to law, political science, sociology, anthropology, religious studies, and economics. Therefore, this major produces well-rounded and educated students.
