Stauning Whisky er et dansk whisky destilleri som er grundlagt af ni whiskyentusiaster med en drøm om at lave en dansk kvalitets single malt whisky. Vores mål er at lave whisky af samme høje kvalitet som single malt whisky fra Skotland. Derfor bruger vi kun de bedste lokale råvarer. For at opnå den ønskede kvalitet bruger vi til destillering to pot stills. En wash still og en spirit still.
Ud over single malt whisky laver vi også rye whisky. Og som noget ganske specielt bruger vi maltet rug.

Stauning Whisky er grundlagt i 2005 og er dermed det første danske whiskydestilleri i nyere tid. I 2009 flyttede vi produktionen fra et tidligere slagteri til et nedlagt landbrug.

Vi mener, at der skal tre ting til for at lave whisky af høj kvalitet: Gode råvarer, respekt for tradition og tålmodighed.

Stauning Whisky is a danish whisky destillery founded by nine whisky enthusiasts who share the dream of making danish quality whisky. Our goal is to make whisky that equals great single malts from Scotland. That is why we use only the best local produce (barley, peat and water) and also why we insist on using pot stills and traditional double destilling (no collumn stills here). We belive that quality takes three things - special attention to raw materials, faithfullness to tradition and patience...

Founded december 2005 Stauning Whisky Destillery is the first whisky destillery in Denmark in recent times. In 2009 Stauning Whisky moved from a humble location in an old butchers shop to a closed down farmstead. We are now finish building our new destillery and have started making whisky again.
