Our philosophy
Our aim is to create a eco system in balance with nature which requires minimal inputs from outside the farm and can support the farm physically and financially.
Harvesting food, water, heating, fertiliser, energy, and creating space for nature and a beautiful place to live.
We started in 2010 with the idea to create a multitier organic fruit and nut orchard, planting raspberries, blackberries, hazelnuts and walnuts. This has developed into trying to utilise all available growing space/layers in imaginative ways and developing alternative growing techniques. Looking at waste a resource and making better use of the natural elements available to us.
We are about halfway to where we would like to be and have learned a lot, somethings have worked really well and others not. Have made some mistakes along the way and sure we will make more but feel we are moving in the right direction.
