Vision

I MakerCity det er vores vision at formidle, tilgængeliggøre og styrke evnen til at skabe innovation og få realiseret idéer.

Vi ønsker at gennemføre en demokratisering af fremstillingsteknologierne og skabe en åben platform for idé-, koncept- og produktudvikling og -realisering for et bredt publikum.
Vores vision er at synliggøre mere end et åbent værksted eller et udviklingskonsulenthus. Som institution vil vi gerne skabe grobund for, at MakerCity kan fungere som et åbent, kreativt innovations-lab, der bygger på principper om åben uddannelse og søger at fremdrive innovative tiltag i samfundet på tværs af erhvervsliv, uddannelsesinstitutioner og private initiativer.

Vores vision kan beskrives ved hjælp af tre nøgleord:

OPFINDE Evnen til at forestille sig noget og til at skabe noget, er noget vi alle besidder. Vi har alle en drøm, og vi tror på, at alle bør have et sted, hvor denne drøm kan udforskes, kultiveres og virkeliggøres.

UDDANNE Vi tror på at lære. Inspiration kommer indefra, men den praktiske udfoldelse af kreativiteten kommer fra at lære - ikke blot at lære at anvende værktøjer, men at lære hvordan idéer kommer fra hovedet til hånden.

SAMARBEJDE Vi tror på, at to hoveder er bedre en et, at fire hænder er bedre en to. Vi tror på fællesskab, hvor støtte og rettidig input fra andre kan være vejen til dit gennembrud.

Vision

Our vision for MakerCity is to communicate, make available and strengthen the ability to create innovation and realize ideas.

We wish to carry out a democratization of production technologies and to create an open platform for idea, concept, and product development and realization for a wide audience. Our vision is to be more than an open workshop or a Development Consultancy. As institution we want to create the basis for, that MakerCity can function as an open and creative innovation-lab, which builds on principles of open education and seeks to propel innovative initiatives in society across businesses, education, and private initiatives.

Our vision can be described by the means of three keywords:

INNOVATE The ability to conceive, to create, to innovate is within us all; it is innate, God-given. We all have a dream. And, we believe everyone should have a place where that dream can be explored, cultivated and realized.

EDUCATE We believe in learning. Inspiration comes from within, but the practical application of that creativity comes through learning, not simply learning how to use tools, but learning how ideas go from your head to your hands.

COLLABORATE We believe that two heads are better than one, that four hands are better than two. We believe in community, where encouragement and timely input from another person can lead to your breakthrough.
