Andreas Helgstrand has a long history of riding, training, trading and breeding horses.

In 1994 Andreas Helgstrand started his riding master education at Søren Vallentin in the Sport Riding Club Aalborg. During his apprenticeship, he rode Grand Prix in dressage as well as jumping on horses, which he had trained himself.

He got his riding master education in 2000, and has been employed at “Van Olst Stables”, “K Stalls” in Norway and at “Blue Hors”, where he both rode, trained, horse traded and participated in the breeding work of the stud farm by preparing and riding the stallions.

In the sports he rode Blue Hors Cavan at the Olympics in Athens in 2004 and Blue Hors Don Schufro in 2008 in Hong Kong, where he won the bronze medal for teams together with Anne Van Olst and Natalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. Another absolute highlight of this period is his World Championship silver medal in 2006 on Blue Hors Matiné.

In the autumn of 2008 Andreas Helgstrand started his own sales and training centre, "Helgstrand Dressage”.
