Gribskov Kommune is a municipality in Region Hovedstaden . The municipality covers an area of 278 km², and has a total population of 40,850 .The municipality was created on 1 January 2007 as a merger of former municipalities of Græsted-Gilleleje and Helsinge. Its mayor as of 1 January 2014 is Kim Valentin, a member of the agrarian liberal Venstre political party.AttractionsThere is a large concentration of dolmens and tumuli within the municipality.
