Details

Blue Ocean Robotics is a new class of company. It’s positioned right in the center of the technological Valley of Death with a mission to bridge from the academic-based research and development world into the business and market world. Focus is on commercializing robotics R&D.

Tons of research and development project activities have been and continue to be carried out, with only a small fraction leading to commercialization of robotic products and creating commercial impact.

This imbalance creates a huge business opportunity where many new robotic products can be built and successfully launched in the markets basing on the plethora of robot technologies developed over the years. This fact is the core of Blue Ocean Robotics' mission and strategy.

Blue Ocean Robotics develops and introduces innovative market-ready robots for a broad range of industries from production, healthcare and education to agriculture, construction, offshore, etc. We provide complete solutions, including design, concept development, installation, implementation, ramp-up, training, testing, documentation, dissemination, support, maintenance, and more – all phases in a life-cycle perspective. We focus on early-stage robotic technologies and first-mover initiatives towards the markets.

Blue Ocean Robotics’ task is to tap into the market, and become a local key-player in all major robotics eco-systems that exist globally. Our expertise is to create entrepreneurial teams that develop robotic products and businesses with the direct participation of end-user clients, researchers, high-tech technology suppliers and investors, with the aim to grow a local robotics business and start up new companies locally with a foundation built on local strongholds.

Our methodology originates from the Scandinavian design tradition which basically builds on cross-disciplinary, end-user participatory, design-based, collaborative teaming up with the right people to make the right decisions at the right time, and maximize the usage of available resources, to achieve sustainable and effective results.
