TABS ⎯ Temporary Artist's Book Shop 3.03

LAGE EGAL is an artist-run-space — by Pierre Granoux and based in Berlin — interested to display artist’s books, zines, small presses and other non-traditional publications. LAGE EGAL will become a bookstore/reading library named TABS – TEMPORARY ARTIST’S BOOK SHOP where the public will be able to look through, peruse, and purchase books and collector's editions.

It will be a big celebration of the object Book, ideated and made by Artists. The book, as a specific artwork, will be displayed in its transgenic form and use, which includes word and image, sight and touch. LAGE EGAL would like to offer a platform where to show artist’s books and other publications in all their forms.

The aim of these exhibitions is also to present some related collector’s editions. The idea is to show a book and a work connected to it by the same artist, at the same time. Books are displayed on tables and/or shelves and must be able to be handled by the public for the duration of the exhibition without gloves. (Elaborate, delicate or unique books that are not meant for handling by the general public will be shown in our glass showcase.)
