Seit 2001 findet der Schleswig-Holstein Netz Cup (vormals E.ON Hanse Cup) in Rendsburg statt.

Auf dem Nord-Ostsee-Kanal - der meist befahrenen künstlichen Wasserstraße der Welt - treffen sich die weltbesten Ruder-Achter zum finalen Kräftevergleich der Saison.

Der 12,7 km Rudermarathon um den Schleswig-Holstein Netz Cup am Sonntag ist das Highlight der Veranstaltung. Dann messen sich die besten Ruder-Achter der Welt auf der Strecke zwischen Breiholz und der Rendsburger Eisenbahnhochbrücke.

Since 2001 the Kiel Canal in Northern Germany is the venue for an unique annual event: the Schleswig-Holstein Netz Cup (f.k.a E.ON Hanse Cup). The world's top men's eights are competing in what has been dubbed “the hardest and toughest rowing race in the world”:
12.7 k on the Kiel Canal on the outskirts of the town of Rendsburg. The finishing line is right under Rendsburg's famous landmark, a historic cast iron railway bridge.
Right below the "iron-lady" and in the Rendsburg harbour area, energy company HanseWerk AG as the main-sponsor and the organizing company Canal-Cup Projekt GmbH will be presenting a fascinating atmosphere with top sports, live music and first class food and beverages.

Fun and Entertainment: The Schleswig-Holstein Netz Cup is part of a harbour festival with fun and entertainment on stage, live music, bands and DJs.
