Microgenics' history is replete with technical innovations and breakthroughs. As one of the first diagnostic companies to harness the power of genetic engineering, Microgenics opened the door to a new generation of diagnostic assays. Microgenics marketed its first diagnostic products in 1986, based on its patented, bioengineered, non-isotopic CEDIA® technology. In June 1999, Microgenics merged with Diagnostic Reagents, Inc. (DRI®), creating a leading immunoassay reagent manufacturer with a unique, comprehensive menu of tests using multiple technologies.
In November 2000, Microgenics expanded its product offering to include the Casco® line of calibration verification and linearity standards.A new web-based software program for data reduction service, CASCO DOCUMENT Service Web was launched in 2004.
In August 2004, Microgenics€™ parent company Apogent Technologies merged with Fisher Scientific. At the same time, Microgenics Corporation assumed all responsibility for Medical Analysis Systems (MAS) and continues to manufacture and supply a wide range of MAS quality control products for serum/urine chemistries, immunoassay, cardiac and whole blood, immunology/protein and toxicology, including brands you may be familiar with such as chemTRAK© and MoniTrol© QC materials. LabLink xL, is our new and improved QC data management web-based program offering instant access to peer group data, electronic data submission and on-demand QC reports..
