International Systemic Research Conference 2017 2.35

The International Systemic Research Conference 2017 focuses on human systems – on communication patterns between persons and organizations (social systems), thoughts and feelings within persons (psychological systems), immune-neuro-endocrine processes (biological systems), and interactional processes between system levels (bio-psycho-social approach).

It presents research with relevance for human systems practitioners like psychotherapists, health professionals, teachers, social workers, organizational consultants, and social activists.

Such research is methodologically challenging. It assumes human systems to be complex, functioning by circular and dynamic instead of linear and static cause-effect-modes. In fact, this reflects how researchers co-construct not only their research designs, but also their results.

We therefore think that systemic research requires intensive dialogue among researchers, between researchers and practitioners, between professionals and clients.
It establishes collaborative, non-hierarchical working relationships.

The conference is open to a wide range of research methods. Qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods and theoretical contributions are equally welcome.
