Cherenkov Telescope Array 2.91

CTA will be the largest ground-based gamma-ray detection observatory in the world, detecting high-energy gamma rays with unprecedented accuracy and 10 times the sensitivity of existing instruments. Construction of the array, which will include more than 100 telescopes located in the northern and southern hemispheres, is estimated to begin in early 2017.
