Wer tagtäglich mit Musik zu tun hat, dem fällt es leicht, sich über Musikzitate zu definieren. Natürlich haben sich seit der Gründung von Cargo Records 1998 in Wuppertal Formate, Umgebung und Konsum von Rock und Pop in nicht unerheblichem Umfang verändert. Und natürlich tragen wir diesem Umstand Rechnung. Dennoch sind zwei Dinge immer gleich geblieben: die nicht mehr selbstverständliche Tatsache, dass unser kollektives Herz jederzeit für Musik schlägt und das Motto, das unser Artwork und unsere Einstellung beinahe seit Tag 1 begleitet: we deliver the goods.

It’s not a difficult task to look to lines from songs for self-definition when you are working with music on a daily basis. Obviously, music formats, settings and consumer behaviour have changed since Cargo Records Germany was founded in Wuppertal in 1998. We here at Cargo are aware of the opportunities and challenges such change brings. However, two things have never changed for us: the irrevocable fact that we love music and the slogan that has characterized our attitude and artwork almost from day one: We deliver the goods.
