EL PENOL, Guatape esta ubicado en las afueras de medellin, a 45 mins del aereopuerto internacional (MDE) a hora y media de Medellin la reserva fue creada por el gobierno colombiano para una planta hidroelectrica. construida en los 60s suministra energia a todo el pais.
esta finca es maravillosa para pasar unas buenas vacaciobes en familia, relajados en la piscina o en el jacuzzi mientras se disfruta de un delicioso asado y se disfruta del bello paisaje com vist de la PIEDRA. esta 5 minutos de Guatape o el Penol.

El Penol/Guatapé is located on the outskirts of Medellín, and is about 45 minutes from the International airport (MDE) or about 1.5 hours from Medellin. The reservoir was created by the Colombian government for a hydro-electric dam, built in the late 1960s which supply's much of the power for the country.
This quaint town is the gathering place for the people of the small farms in this area. It is also a fast growing area of recreation for citizens of Medellín, and has become a tourist destination for many foreign travelers. Just recently 2 new hotels have been built to keep up with the large demand to play on the lake.
In town there is a wonderful farmers market to get all kinds of fresh produce very cheap along with any supplies you may need.
The people here are very friendly and there are many things to do in town and around the lake. There are plenty of restaurants, boat rentals, fishing, horse back riding, hiking just minutes away. If you are up for a real challenge hike up to the top of the rock and witness one of the most breath taking views you have ever seen.
This home has 4 bedrooms that will sleep 8 adults with a 5th bedroom that has bunk beds and can sleep 12 children, two per bed. There are 5 bathrooms with showers around the home. This resort type setting will accommodate 8-15 easily. The house is located between the towns of Guatape' or El Penol only 4 or 5 minutes away in either direction.
The hot tub and swimming pool are a wonderful way to spend the day relaxing while having a BBQ or head into town to mingle with some of the friendly local people.
