Allianz Ironman 70.3 Cartagena Presentado por Gatorade 4.75

El 3 de diciembre de 2017, por segunda vez en Colombia tendrá lugar uno de los eventos competitivos más grandes del deporte a nivel mundial: El Allianz IRONMAN 70.3 Cartagena presentado por Gatorade.

El punto de encuentro no podría ser otro que una de las ciudades más bellas de América. Nuestra ciudad heroica, recibirá este año más de 2.100 atletas de 35 países y 30.000 espectadores, hecho que producirá un gran impacto económico en la ciudad y en el turismo deportivo.

Los participantes deberán enfrentar 70.3 millas (113 kilómetros) de carrera distribuidos así: 1.9 km de natación, 90 km de bicicleta y 21.1 km de atletismo. La natación será en las aguas protegidas de la Bahía de las Ánimas. La transición de natación a ciclismo se llevará a cabo en el Camellón Plaza de los Mártires delante de la emblemática Torre del Reloj donde los atletas comenzarán su etapa de 90 kilómetros por toda la vía al mar.

El recorrido de dos vueltas de atletismo (13,1 millas ó 21km) llevará a los atletas en un viaje a través de la ciudad vieja. Los participantes iniciarán su recorrido a través de la parte oeste de la muralla, con una impresionante vista hacía el mar Caribe.

Al iniciar el recorrido, los atletas darán un paso atrás en el tiempo hacía los años coloniales y serán parte de la colorida e histórica arquitectura que hizo que Cartagena fuera nombrada como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por parte de la UNESCO. Los deportistas terminarán el Allianz IRONMAN 70.3 Cartagena presentado por Gatorade delante de la icónica Torre del Reloj.

En el 2016, la carrera obtuvo un porcentaje de alta satisfacción, nombrando a este evento como uno de los IRONMAN 70.3 más hermosos del mundo no solo por los paisajes sino porque los cartageneros se volcaron a las calles con música, trajes típicos y mucho entusiasmo para animar a los participantes. This year on December 3, for the second time in Colombia will take place one of the biggest competitive events in the sports world: The Allianz IRONMAN 70.3 Cartagena presented by Gatorade.

One of the most beautiful cities in America, our heroic city this year will receive more than 2.100 athletes from 35 countries and 30,000 spectators, it will make a big economic impact on the city and generate sports tourism.

Participants will race 70.3 miles (113 kilometers): 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21.1 km of running. Swimming will be in the protected waters of the Bahia de las Animas. The transition from swimming to cycling will take place in the Camellón Plaza de los Mártires in front of the emblematic Torre del Reloj where athletes will begin their 90-kilometers through La Via al Mar.

The two-lap athletics tour (21km) will take athletes on a journey through the old city. Participants will begin their journey through the western part of the wall with an impressive view of the Caribbean Sea.

At the beginning of the course, the athletes will step back in time to the colonial years and will be part of the colorful and historic architecture, reasons that makes Cartagena a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The athletes will finish the Allianz IRONMAN 70.3 Cartagena presented by Gatorade in front of the iconic Torre del Reloj.

In 2016, the race obtained a high satisfaction average, naming this event as one of the most beautiful IRONMAN 70.3 races in the world, because of its beautiful landscapes and Cartagena's community filling the streets with music, typical costumes and a lot of enthusiasm to the participants.
