YSB Employment Services 2.7

YSB Employment Services has been assisting individuals with their employment and career aspirations since 1983. Today we are one of the largest providers of employment services in Eastern Ontario, serving nearly 10,000 unique individuals annually. Both youth and adults come to our centre for information and assistance in accessing the labour market.

In 2010, YSB Employment Services was selected by the provincial government along with eight other agencies across Ottawa to deliver the new employment services model. We are very proud to be a part of this larger network and work daily with our partners to ensure client needs are being met.

We offer a broad range of services from career assessments and one-on-one coaching to numerous workshops and employer information sessions. Please note for these various workshops and information sessions, clients may self-register on-line through our new client registration system. We are your one-stop shop to all provincial and federal employment interventions and education opportunities.

One of the core activities that makes us successful is our consistent surveying of the labour market. Every quarter we gather labour market intelligence from employers providing us with information on the skill sets and competencies that employers are looking for with regards to current and future job opportunities.
