World Class Karate Calgary is part of the Canadian JKA Karate Federation (CJKF) which is directly overseen by the Japan Karate Association (JKA), the keepers of karate's highest tradition. The JKA is the worlds largest and most prestigious karate organization. In our karate, we will try to promote the ancient Japanese tradition of Bushido - the way of the samurai.

True karate focuses on simultaneously developing the mind, body and spirit through physical and mental training. The physical training will focus on enhancing speed and strength while the mental training will focus on enhancing self confidence and self discipline.

Karate has three pillars of training that develops the body, mind, and spirit; kihon (basics), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring).
