Warbler’s Roost currently includes a Country Inn which offers six rooms available for daily or weekly rentals with a continental breakfast set out in a large porch and many common areas including a large events space overlooking Deer Lake. The waterfront is just a four minute walk down the road on the property. The four bedrooms share a powder room and two full bathrooms as well as a kitchen and many common areas. Continental breakfast is provided each morning. The property also has a large open area next to the Inn (approx 50’ x 50’) as well as an even larger cleared area down near the waterfront (approx 200’ x 400’) that can be booked for weddings or other large outdoor gatherings. The 230 feet of waterfront includes a long dock and kayaks will be available to rent.

The Inn includes an event space holding up to 75 people that is available to rent and will include in-house programming for the community such as performances, talks and social gatherings starting this summer.

VISION FOR WARBLER’S ROOST
The proprietors are Darren Copeland and Nadene Thériault-Copeland who live on the property. Their vision for Warbler’s Roost includes an opportunity for families, artists, sports enthusiasts and those just looking for a weekend away from the city, to enjoy the quiet countryside without sacrificing the comforts of home. Warblers Roost is more than a place to stay. Darren and Nadene see the property as being a home for creative inspiration and sharing.

ARTIST RESIDENCIES
Residencies for artists of any discipline are welcome and available year-round with seasonal discounted weekly artist rates. Each room is equipped with a desk/chair and table as well as a queen sized bed. At this time we do not have any studio facilities. For sound artists and recordists the soundscape is rich with wildlife and free of highway noise. For visual artists there is the beauty of the Muskoka region without the urban light pollution. At the conclusion of an artist’s stay we would welcome the chance to offer a showing, presentation or talk in order to share an artist’s work with our local community.
