Vital Aviation was founded by Lynda & Don Brown. In 1990 they started operations at Nanaimo Airport. Over the years, the school has developed an excellent program for private and commercial pilots, which focuses on a strong knowledge base and a continuous learning mindset. Vital Aviation was set up primarily to train the next generation of recreational and private pilots, as well as assist commercial pilots with accumulating their required flight training hours. Through Vital Aviation’s training, future pilots are equipped with with knowledge that will enable them to keep themselves and their passengers safe.

Our practical approach to training provides a solid foundation of knowledge, decision-making, and piloting skills that are essential to success for any pilot, whether flying privately or commercially. The school has trained many high quality pilots for commuter services, airlines, bush operators and the military. In 2015 Vital Aviation became part of Fraser Education Inc., where the commitment to knowledge-based training & professionalism will continue.
