Valkyrie WMAA was founded in 2012, and opened its permanent training space in late 2015. We are a group of passionate enthusiasts from a range of backgrounds brought together by our shared interest in Western Martial Arts. Students with all levels of experience and fitness are welcome to join us.

Our Core program is focused on teaching proficiency in three fighting domains: grappling, striking, and edged weapon work. We offer training for both experienced martial artists and complete beginners. Students will build a strong foundation in the mechanics, tactics, and philosophy of Western Martial Arts, and have the ongoing training they need to develop a unique, effective fighting style while dramatically improving their overall fitness.

--- Our Classes ---

We offer classes six days a week, at the following times:

Monday - Thursday 7:00pm - 9:00pm (Valkyrie Core, Valkyrie Base)
Friday 5:30pm - 7:00pm (Longsword)
Saturday 10:00am - 12:00pm (Power Class)

All classes are held at our main training space at 2603 Kingsway.

Our 4-class Valkyrie Base introductory program runs on weekday nights, and a new class cycle starts every week.

We also host a wide variety of workshops on different aspects of martial arts, fitness, and self defense.
