Emo is a small rural township, located along the Rainy River in northwestern Ontario, Canada.

Located on the river, there is a beautifully developed waterfront that includes a boat launch and park area as well as spray park for families to enjoy.

Emo is home to the Norlund Chapel, one of the smallest churches in the world. Built by two local men in 1973, the chapel is open as a house of prayer for all but measuring just 8' x 10' can only hold eight people at a time.

The Emo Sports Field boasts multiple soccer fields, 2 baseball diamonds and a beach volleyball court, as well as seating areas with a shaded pavilion.

Race enthusiasts won't want to miss the stock car action at the Emo Speedway. Cars from the central US and Canada compete for prizes on a quarter mile, banked clay track. The stock car races are a well loved part of the Rainy River Agricultural Fall Fair, held every August.

The Fair is a highlight of the summer for all ages and features an exhibition hall, horse and beef showing, a Queen pageant, a parade and the much loved midway.

Because of its geographic location, Emo serves as the main service center for the agricultural needs of the Rainy River District, as well as an important service center for the tourist industry. Emo provides a full range of services including a school, hospital, library, bank, medical & dental clinics, recreation centre.
