Bridgewater is a thriving town (pop.: ~8,500) nestled in the heart of the LaHave River Valley, just about one hour's drive from Halifax.
Known as the "Main Street of the South Shore," Bridgewater combines numerous modern service amenities -- including restaurants, accommodations, and shops big and small -- with a high quality of life. Our community boasts great access to exceptional health care services, wonderful play spaces at our parks, museums, and recreational facilities, and a reputation for embracing sustainability and innovation.
Town Hall is open daily, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except during July and August when hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Town Hall is closed on holidays. For emergency after-hours assistance, please phone 902-543-5142.
