RULES - FOR FACEBOOK ADMINISTRATORS ONLY:

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem. This page belongs to all of us and the community. However, the following rules have been put in place so that the page and group runs smoothly and in an organized fashion with "Ihsaan," inshAllah.

-1. The purpose of www.facebook.com/GTAMuslims is to promote local initiatives & events and inspire fellow-Muslims in the Toronto and GTA area.

-2. Only one administrator is per organization/effort is aloud, preferably 2 posts per week.

-3. Only the Main Administrator (me) is aloud to add new Admins.

-4. Please do not adjust the page settings.

-5. Only the Main Administrator (me) is aloud to remove posts. However, you can remove your own post if you posted something by accident and want to re-post it.

-6. IMPORTANT: Please check with "Main Administrator" before posting any "external content." External content is defined as: A link, video, quote, website, or any post that is unrelated to The GTA, Toronto, or your organization. Any external content posted without permission may be deleted. There is a slight degree of leniency here. If you STRONGLY believe a post will benefit Toronto/GTA Muslims and you want to post it right away, you may post it without permission. However, when posting, you must include your initials OR your organization's initials within the post (for example: "This video is an important reminder for Muslims!" - posted by M.S.A.). Be aware, it may be removed if the Main Administrator feels the post is unrelated to Toronto or irrelevant to Islamic education or Muslim awareness/causes.

-7. Qur'an and Hadith [video or text] do not fall under "external content," and therefore can be posted by anyone at anytime.

-8. The identity of the Admins is confidential. Therefore please do not disclose it. Insh'Allah we are working for the sake for Allah. Keep your intentions pure.

-9. Please do not hesitate to message me if you want further clarification on these rules.

10. Lastly, for purposes of simplicity and rational, we cannot promote businesses or personal interests. If a small group or an individual wants to advertise their project/initiative on Toronto Muslims, they must have the backing, support, and cooperation of a mainstream Muslim organization in the GTA.

12. While we are lenient with the number of posts posted by each organization, we request that you limit your post to a maximum of 2-3 post per week. Essentially, please be extremely mindful of other organizations and giving them a chance to advertise their events. Though, it is true, that the more posts on a facebook page, this may increase our followers and activity.

13. This point isn't so much a rule but a reminder for all of us. Islamic work and good manners and good intentions all go hand-in-hand. Remember we do things for the pleasure of Allah, hasanat, and to gain Allah's mercy. Please be merciful, tolerant, and always show good manners to your fellow Muslims. This page does not tolerate any bashing of fellow Muslims.

14. We try to keep this Islamic-oriented and stay on the safe side. Therefore, when promoting and posting something, please feel free to double check with the Admin if you feel the content may offend our fellow brothers and sisters.

15. After posting something, please leave your facebook initials at the bottom of the post (i.e. ~BBA~) - though this is optional.

For non-Admin related inquires, please direct people to: teachdeen AT GMAIL dot com or send send a message to the actual facebook page.

16. Admins must/should promote www.facebook.com/GTAMuslims on their own organizations' facebook pages. We want to display a sense of unity insh'Allah :)
