Details

The Salvation Army is an international Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible; its ministry is motivated by love for God and the needs of humanity. The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.

In the Central Okanagan:
Our Seniors’ Drop-In program for those 55+ at the church on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m offers a place for seniors to make new connections, share a nutritious meal together ($3) and have an opportunity for new learning and/or entertainment.

Weekly programs are offered for children and youth from drop-in basketball, camping programs and so much more.

The Breakthrough Program is designed to meet identified needs within our community and help those who desire to overcome some of the barriers in their lives.

Our Emergency Disaster Services offer practical supports to residents and emergency response personnel during times of crisis.

Our Community Life Centre (offices in Rutland and Westbank) offer a variety of supports and resources for community members.

Our 3 Thrift Stores in Kelowna, Rutland and Westbank assist the community by recycling quality used goods, keeping them out of the landfill, and getting them into the hands of people who will use them.
