The Rose Room Recording Studio - Designed for 7.1 post production, Foley, and Music recording/production.

Since the studio facility would be housed on the 3rd floor of a warehouse building, certain steps had to be taken to ensure that we have the necessary isolation to and from the building and the surrounding elements. The Isolation of the facitlity is designed @ 14.1 Hz so that there is good isolation (~STC-70 + extended LF) down to 20 Hz; Wall to wall and floor/ceiling.

The Control room volume is 3982 cubic feet and has a usable floor space of 279 square feet. The room is optimized for 7.1 surround production with Flush-mounted LCR speakers (JBL LSR6332) with JBL LSR6325P-1 X 4 Surrounds. The room is optimised for an RT-60 of 0.26 Seconds.

The tracking room (517 square feet) features trapping in the ceiling but with loads of diffusion from the central PRD and slatted ellipse. There are rock walls for definition, slatted Binary sequence traps, and polycylindrical devices to encourage 'ensemble' along with a sense of space. The Main tracking room is Asymmetrical as is the special 'piano room' (232 square feet). Each room or booth has been custom treated to provide optimum space & character, - Where one could comfortably record a delicate Spanish guitar solo or rock drums.

The Rose Room Recording Studio represents over a year and a half of work/consultation between owner, Galen Weston and designer John H. Brandt which shall most likely continue for years to come.
