The Journey Studio 1.57

This year we launch The Journey Studio: a two-week professional training program for young emerging artists in Regent Park in dance, theatre and music. This intensive will focus on strengthening performers’ skills in acting techniques, improvisation, physical performance, voice, character work, script work training, spoken word, movement theory, choreography, and a variety of dance techniques, along with music theory, musical composition and vocal techniques.

In addition, this unique program focuses on story creation around our theme: What Makes Our Neighbourhood? Over the course of the Studio, participants will co-create an original mini musical through script writing, choreography and musical composition.

The Journey Studio is facilitated by The Journey Team Movement Directors - GadFly, Choral Director Jeremiah Sparks, Production Manager Rehana Tejpar, Lead Cast Britta B, Steve Harmony, Trevlyn Kay and Director Kate Fenton.

Participants of The Journey Studio Program will have the opportunity to be cast as ensemble members and understudies for this year's production of The Journey (taking place November 2016).
