There has been a lending library in the hamlet of Glanworth since 1912. The first library shelves were actually located in the local general store. Then in 1923, thanks to funds raised by community volunteers, the Glanworth Library moved into its own building, which stands to this day, now renovated, refurbished and fully accessible, thanks once again to community volunteers and to the London Public Library Board, who shared our vision for a renewed and restored rural library.

Today, we are proud to be part of the London Public Library system. The Glanworth Branch is the smallest and oldest continually operating branch in the city.

We welcome visitors during hours of operation, because this beautiful, lovingly restored heritage library is part of London's early history.
