The Backyard Farm & Market at Erin Mills 3.66

The Backyard Farm and Market at Erin Mills is an urban community agriculture hub in Mississagua, Ontario. Complete with a Farmers' Market and community gardens. Enjoy sustainable local foods, non-certified organic produce, and scrumptious delicacies! Find gluten, dairy, peanut free foods also at the market. The Backyard provides opportunities for people to learn about (and delight in!) all aspects of the food system --- from growing to cooking to eating to sharing.

The site features a straw-bale veggie garden, a compost demonstration site, a healthy eating outdoor kitchen, natural kids play spaces, and lots of visiting wildlife! The market runs on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm (starting in early June).

Located on the North East corner of Eglinton Ave. West & Erin Mills Pkwy, this exciting project is created in partnership with The Daniels Corporation, whose vision for scaling up urban agriculture and reconnecting people to healthy, local food is helping to strengthen various communities in the GTA.

Join us on any (or every!) Saturday and enjoy delicious & sustainably sourced food directly from our local farmers' and artisanal producers. Come learn during the kids cooking & food education activities or help us plant, harvest and take care of our urban organic oasis.
