TALENTED KIDS OTTAWA (TKO) is a non-profit organization committed to KNOCKING OUT BULLYING & YOUTH VIOLENCE. With the support of our community, we will win this fight by highlighting the talents of our kids and improving their physical, mental and emotional well-being.

OUR GOAL is to provide a stage for our kids to express themselves and showcase their skills, while raising funds for scholarships and the essential tools they will need to MASTER their TALENT, the TALENT that will help shape their lives and future.

OUR MISSION is to provide support for our youth and encourage them to do what they love. By sharing our stories and mentoring them, we believe we can inspire kids to follow their dreams, reach for the stars and become successful young entrepreneurs.

OUR HIGH ENERGY EVENTS & PEP RALLIES cover topics such as self worth, finding your passion, how your talent can help end youth violence & bullying and provides advice on ways to STAND UP AGAINST BULLYING.

ABOUT TKO:

Talented Kids Ottawa was created by Trevor Mason, also known as DJ MACE, owner of Ebony & Ivory Lifestyle, co-owner of Bananas Caribbean Grill and Carivibe Festival Ottawa.

OUR STORY:

Trevor Mason (DJ MACE) and David Mason (DJ D-TRAIN) started their entertainment company Ebony & Ivory Lifestyle in 1995. Ebony & Ivory (E&I) hosts large scale nightlife events, private parties, corporate socials, weddings and provides a premium DJ service that is second to none.

E&I has been a staple in Ottawa's nightlife community for over 19 years. With new and exciting projects constantly on the go, the team has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.

Although Trevor & Dave have had a very successful career in the entertainment business, along with friends and colleagues they have also witnessed many cases of Youth Violence & Bullying in the city and across Ottawa.

There has been a staggering number of stabbings, shootings, battery against women, bullying, gang activity and more. These senseless acts of violence and loss of innocent lives cross all boundaries, age, colour, religion and social status and are taking place all over our City.

We did not have to search too far to find a meaningful way to make a difference in our community. Focussing on Ottawa's youth was a very easy decision for us. If we can provide support for our kids and encourage them to master their talents and do what they love, we will then be able to improve on their, physical, mental, emotional and over all well being.

Keeping our kids active, combined with educational Ant-Bullying and Anti-Youth Violence programs, will help decrease the chance of them engaging in troubling activity.
