Sweetwood Farm 3.88

Sweetwood Farm is a small farm nestled near scenic Mahone Bay on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The farmstead dates back hundreds of years. We are in our 1st year as stewards on the land and are working hard to embrace the best of traditions in raising quality dairy goats, heritage breed pigs and a small selection of heritage chickens. All animals have access to pasture and many are rotationally grazed. We provide cheese making classes and are working towards operating our very own artisan cheese dairy on site. We also offer on-site vintage and heritage themed farm-stays, including in an authentic yurt, in an off-grid woods cabin, and in the future in a real gypsy wagon. We currently raise Alpine, Toggenburg, Pygmy and Nubian goats - looked after by our 3 Maremma livestock guardian dogs, which we personally brought to Canada from Italy (interesting story there!).
