Sushi Nami 4.25

In 2009 Michelle Choi founded Hiyori Sushi, once located on Hornby and Drake in Downtown Vancouver, with the desire to produce healthy west coast variants of Japanese cuisine. The restaurant was very successful and supported the relocation to a larger space in North Vancouver, now called Sushi Nami. As a family-run business, Sushi Nami is committed to providing guests with an experience that is both delectable and comfortable. Chef Joey Ham innovates flavour and Asian elegance using the freshest local ingredients.

Menu

With health and freshness being a priority, dishes are assembled with finest ingredients and sophistication. West coast flavours and ingredients are incorporated featuring sushi rolls that contain local vegetables and seafood when available. A multitude of options listed on our menu ensures that all tastes are nourished.

Executive Chef

Joey Ham began studying Japanese cuisine at the age of 22 and now holds two decades of experience. He previously worked as a Sous Chef for the renowned Hanhwa 63 Hotel in South Korea, which remains the tallest gold-cladded structure in the world. In 2004 he was famously awarded a gold medal at the International Japanese Cuisine Competition held at the Samsung Trading Centre in Seoul, Korea. In partnership with Michelle Choi he has been developing dishes with Hiyori Sushi and Sushi Nami for over five years.
