As a Doula, I accompany women and families in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. My job is to make sure women have the most satisfying birth, as they define it. I also support women during the postpartum time to help families integrate their new family member and ensure mom is well cared for. I draw on my professional training through Birth Rhythms and Wise Woman Way of Birth knowledge and experiences to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to women and partners. I am independent and self-employed. As your doula, I am working for you, not your care giver or hospital. I believe birth is extremely important and profound life event for a woman, her partner and family. I believe birth is a natural function of a woman's body and that a woman can birth safely and with satisfaction. I honour a woman's strength and power and believe in her inherent knowledge and wisdom which leads her to do the work needed to bring forth her baby.
