St. Maclays Pub 2.26

St. Maclays Pub was established in the autumn of 2010 as a shared neighbourhood clubhouse. After warm summer nights around the fire we needed a new hangout for the transitional months (Sept-Dec) before the freezing cold set in. And St. Maclays was born! Maclays was our beer of choice at the time and although, ironically, we seldom drink Maclays now, the name has stuck. We have hosted numerous get-togethers in the club, including fun Halloween and Christmas parties. Initially sports-themed, it has recently been revised to a pop culture club. Many of our friends are represented in the club with the donations they have made – our good friend Timaymay Jimaymay (a talented artist) created our logo, there are mementos from our late father and grandfather, paintings by the neighbourhood children, souvenirs from friends’ travels, an OPEN sign and engraving from my brother, not to mention the many beer case logos donated by everyone. Other contributions welcome any time – this is a shared club and we hope to eventually have everyone represented. So, pull up a chair, pour yourself a drink, listen to a wide variety of music, and enjoy some hearty conversation, a trivia game or some darts, and a merry chuckle or two!!!!
