Vision:
Supporting local is good for everybody as it keeps more money in the local economy and stimulates economic growth in our province. Our support of local ways to grow, buy, and participate in supporting local food is a way of demonstrating the strong interconnections between the rural and urban Ontario, promoting these, and even finding ways to build an infrastructure around this so that everything be used – even supplying unique products made locally around Ontario – by local businesses. Purchasing, growing, and connecting local food supports the growth of agricultural and food businesses and even gives consumers a chance to learn, participate, and grow in the process of establishing a good food know-how and knowledge base.

We want to foster the local food movement, and do things differently. We want to promote:
- Farm fresh produce at a local street market
- Local pick your own/ local pick up based farming establishments
- Regional foods sold at local farmers markets
- handmade preserves, jams, nutmegs, spices and more!
- unique artisanal produce

The Soho Street Market considers considers culture to be a lived and living fabric of Soho. Culture is about the people, the food, the art, the creativity, the history and heritage of a particular location/neighbourhood. Culture to us includes: arts, crafts, foods, music, sustainability, gardens, restaurants, local farmers, destination shopping and more!
The Soho Street market is the point of access to all events, artists, cultural happenings, food, places to stay, exhibitions, shows, performances, museums, concert halls, design, cultural teachers, art, crafts and more, taking place, living and teaching, exhibiting and performing the Soho District.
The Soho Street market will work to promote the Soho district as a destination spot for people of London, tourists visiting from anywhere in Canada, and those visiting London from the US, or the rest of the world.
The Soho Street market will continue to develop with the guidance and input of the Soho Community association, Goodwill industries, Planting Seeds Co and work collaboratively with the organizations and individuals that support the development of the Soho Street Market as a cultural centre.

This project is a community driven project focused around building a cultural infrastructure around local businesses, community organizations, and projects that literally feed into local food systems, local community groups, and that local businesses alike can benefit. The project is to be piloted in the vicinity of SoHo, in coordination with Goodwill Industries, Planting Seeds Co, and the Soho Community Association.
