The Sik-Ooh-Kotoki Friendship Society (SFS) is the longest standing Aboriginal organization in Lethbridge. It has been providing programs and services to the Aboriginal population of Lethbridge since 1969. Our mission “supports and promotes a self-determined activity which strengthens Aboriginal Cultural Distinctiveness.” Our vision is an “Improved quality of life (respect, dignity & equal opportunity) for Aboriginal people in the urban community.” Our mandate is to provide service to off-reserve, urban Aboriginal people in the City of Lethbridge who are in need of a support system to cope with the urban environment and all the challenges it brings.
