My name is Andrea Lawless. I’m a photographer from the Eastern Shore, living in Dartmouth. I started doing photography for free four years ago when I was doing my degree in Web Design. I figured it would be a useful skill to have as a designer, and I fell completely, unexpectedly in love with it. I also discovered a talent for photography I didn’t even know I had.

I’ve done a multitude of different shoots since then, and studied as much as I can about photography through books and the internet as well as through the practical experience I've accumulated.

From maternity shoots and newborns to engagements and weddings and everything in between and I love it all.

Each time I decide I have a new favourite type of photography, I do a different type of session that reminds me how much I love that type too.

My style is a bit of a combo between posed and photo-journalistic.

Personality is a big part of my photography, and I pride myself on showing off each person’s though my pictures.

Especially when it comes to couples and weddings, capturing their personalities is an important part of my job. I love my wedding photos to really reflect the people they’re of, and the feelings they’re having. I hope that when you look through my portfolio, you can see that.
