A progressive and practical thinker, Saba has years of experience working with children, youth, parents, families, and individuals. Specializing in assisting youth and families transition through divorce and separation, she also provides assistance to clients of all age groups with a variety of clinical issues. Saba believes in turning a crisis into opportunity, and brings this guiding value to her work with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma issues as well as her work with family transition.

During her sessions, Saba is highly attuned to the client’s experience. She is compassionate, yet direct enough to provide a productive and appropriately challenging space for clients to meet their therapeutic goals. In this process, she uses innovative tools and techniques. Saba pulls on practical and effective techniques that assist clients in tracing the roots of their anxieties and inhibitions, and then developing the confidence and tools to overcome these challenges. Through guided exploration, she empowers her clients to find their voice, wisdom, and strength, and to recognize their potential. Her approach to counselling is holistic, involving the integration of mind, body, and soul. She provides a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore internal thoughts, feelings, conflicts, traumas, and experiences. When obstacles to personal, relational, and professional growth are identified, Saba assists her clients in developing strategies to transform these obstacles to growth.

In addition to clinical expertise, Saba is passionate about contributing to the community. Her training and experience have afforded her the opportunity to serve the community in various capacities. She provides supervision and case management support for some of the most complicated family, children, and youth cases. Furthermore, she provides consultation and training on issues of diversity, ethical clinical practice, families in transition and youth program development.

Saba has an acute awareness and expertise of the needs of the individual, families and the community she continues to serve. She is not afraid to dig in, and brings her considerable skill and experience to the clients with whom she works.
