Rugbyworks 1.84

Rugby student/athletes combine brains and brawn to deliver a unique service to the community. We are launching RugbyWORKS; a summer employment initiative delivered by University level Rugby players. Our team currently consists of 4 crew members with a wide range of skills and abilities available for any project, odd jobs large or small.

The Rugby program strives to positivley represent the sport of Rugby on the field and in the public eye. Here is how we help serve our university and the community at large;

- Promoting the student/athlete concept in the local community through their volunteer work. Players are active in programs such as Big Brother & Duck Unlimited, as well as coaching an officiating at the high school level.

- Partnering with the school district to offer camps and clinics on pro-D days and sports days to disadvantaged students.

- Supporting Aboriginal Sport development presenting 'Try it' sport opportunities at workshops & Events.

- Acting as student/athlete Ambassadors when they return home in the summer, promoting the program to their former high schools.

- Actively working with the community to enhance awareness of the importance of an active lifestyles.
