Rocky Corner Studio is open "by appointment or by chance", and is situated in the woods overlooking Whale Cove on scenic Grand Manan. M.J. Edwards is a photographer working in large format, pinhole, macro and digital photography, and a painter working in various media, but specializing in beeswax encaustic mixed media works. She also works in pen and ink doing imaginative whimsical drawings on paper. On surf-smoothed small rocks from Whale Cove Beach MJ paints unique nature-inspired designs. Her art work and photography are also available on notecards. Her husband, Wayne Clifford, is a poet who sells his beautifully crafted small Canadian press books, whimsical driftwood sculptures, and musical instruments of the violin family.
M.J. is also the curator/director of The Grand Manan Museum which is open from mid June-late September each year.
