Hello! I'm Mikaela Powell, I am a mother, stepmother, wife, stay at home mom, and last but not least, a photographer. I am married to a wonderful man and together we have 2 children.

I recently resigned from my job at a daycare to stay home with my daughter. I have always had an interest in photography, and somehow it never occurred to me to actually make a career out of it. It seems too good to be true... I didn't actually believe people could get paid to do what they love!

I absolutely love taking photos and editing them, I am not creative in any other aspect, but with photography I have found such passion and inspiration. For now, I am confident in almost all types of photography involving people. I specialize in children and family, engagement and maternity, cake smashes, newborns and almost anything else you can think of. The only photography I am not currently doing is weddings as I have a 1 year old at home who is still nursing, so I can't be away for more than a few hours. I have an addiction to all things vintage, and am proud of my ever expanding collection of unique, beautiful and antique props.

I put my heart, soul and creativity into every shoot to make sure that your photos are stunning, and one of a kind. My goal is to capture those bright eyed stares, and wrinkled nose smiles, to portray the love and joy in your families best moments, for you to remember and cherish for the rest of your lives.
