Matea Testa is a professional photographer based out of St.Thomas, Ontario who has turned her passion for creativity and attention to detail into a vibrant business. Matea immigrated to Canada with her family in 1993 during war in their home country. As the family had to flee with only what they could carry, they lost most of their possessions, including all photographs. It was this loss which made Matea realize the importance of capturing and holding on to life’s special moments. In 2011 Matea turned her creativity, eye for detail and business background into a home based photography business that quickly took off.
After taking a number of photography classes in addition to her diplomas in business marketing and business administration marketing and with the support of her family and friends, `Photography by Matea’ was born. Matea continues learning by participating in mentoring sessions with other photographers. She is also active part of her community and often donates her time, services and gift certificates to worthy causes. Today, with a downtown studio in St. Thomas, Matea captures key life moments for clients throughout Southern Ontario.
